What the Cornmarket Project is all about...
The Cornmarket Project Provides accessible, free, confidential services to people with substance misuse and anti-social and behavioural issues to young people at risk from a wide-range of issues. We work with family members also who are affected by addiction related issues. Konnecting u Service - a project for young people at risk in County Wexford between the ages of twelve and twenty-five years. The project supports vulnerable young people by linking to them under the voluntary, community or statutory agencies most appropriate to address their human needs. Counselling Service - a free, confidential counseling service for people dealing with addiction and other behavioural related issues. This program also used to assess the client's suitability for further structured training / rehabilitation programs. Stabilization Program - a program for those dealing with their addiction and antisocial behaviourial exits. The aim of this is program is for participants to address their behaviour and / or substance misuse and to reintegrate them into a stabilised lifestyle, in line with the national guidelines for rehabilitation recently working with substance misusers. BTEI - The Back to Education Initiative [BTEI] is a flexible part-time training program providing opportunities to return to learning. The aim is to facilitate adults' access, transfer and progression pathways to other education jobs. Free tuition is provided to those who do not have the Leaving Cert. or equivalent qualification. All lead to FETAC awards programs, Levels 3.4 or 5. |
Training and Rehabilitation Program - The training and rehabilitation program is a FAS CE scheme participants whose are moving from drug dependency further into training and employment. The program uses a combination of motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioural approaches to elicit behaviour changes . Outreach Service - a community-based service designed to support those who are unable to make initial contact with appropriate services. Drop-in service - a low threshold service response support for those who need to make positive behavioural change. We include advocacy services for those seeking to move away from criminality and substance misuse. Family Support Service - a support group for the parents & siblings Of those with addiction related issues. The program offers training & education to family members on how to cope with family dynamics. Complimentary Therapies - has ranks of media interventions & holistic therapies designed to compliment existing service aimed at facilitating positive behavioural change ie; acupuncture, massage, meditation etc.. .. ..
